How we help

Fourth Trimester Support System

The Fourth Trimester begins at birth and continues to approximately 12 weeks postpartum. It is one of the most tumultuous periods in a birthing person’s life, and it is often swept under the rug. Hormones are changing rapidly, new parents are sleep deprived, and birthing persons are trying to heal after their body has stretched and grown over the last 9 months , not to mention the whole birth thing. So much of the time after a person gives birth is spent with everyone’s immediate focus centered around the new baby. Are they sleeping? Are they eating? Can they hold them?

But what about the new parents?

What about the person who may have just had a traumatic birth experience? Who is there to hold and support them?

That is where The Doting Doula comes in.
